⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: Refrigerator Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Inverter compressor overtemperature fault
How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator and allow compressor to cool for 30 minutes.
- Remove rear access panel and inspect condenser coils for dust/debris buildup restricting airflow.
- Clean condenser coils thoroughly with coil brush and vacuum cleaner.
- Verify condenser fan operates continuously when compressor runs – replace fan motor if stalled.
- Check ambient temperature around refrigerator – must not exceed 110°F (high ambient causes overheating).
- Inspect compressor mounting pads for deterioration causing vibration-induced overheating.
- Measure compressor discharge line temperature with infrared thermometer (should not exceed 225°F during operation).
- If discharge line exceeds 250°F, suspect refrigerant overcharge or restricted condenser airflow.
- If all external factors corrected but error persists, replace inverter assembly W11338877 (faulty temperature sensing circuit).
- After repair, monitor compressor temperatures during extended run cycles in warm ambient conditions.
