How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator and systematically test all fan motors and wiring harnesses.
- Verify each fan motor resistance is within specification and wiring shows no damage.
- Confirm proper voltage reaches each fan connector during operation.
- If all fans and harnesses test good but none operate, suspect failed driver circuits on main control board.
- Remove rear access panel to access main control board.
- Inspect board for burnt components near fan driver transistors (small black transistors near edge connectors).
- Check for cracked solder joints around driver components – reflow with soldering iron if found.
- Measure resistance between fan power terminals and ground on board (should be infinite – low resistance indicates shorted driver).
- If driver components show visible damage or resistance measurements indicate shorts, replace main control board W
- After replacement, verify all fans operate correctly through multiple cooling cycles.
