Error Code: F29 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Moisture Sensor Shorted
How to Fix F29 Error
- Unplug the dryer. A shorted sensor is often caused by residue buildup.
- Find the two parallel metal bars of the moisture sensor inside the drum, typically part of the lint screen housing.
- Vigorously clean the metal bars with a cloth or pad and rubbing alcohol.
- If the code persists after cleaning, the moisture sensor harness assembly is likely faulty and needs to be replaced. This may require removing the front panel for access.
