How to Fix F28 Error

  1. Unplug the dryer.
  2. First, locate the two metal moisture sensor strips inside the drum, usually below the door opening on the lint filter housing.
  3. Clean the surface of these strips thoroughly with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol to remove any fabric softener residue.
  4. If cleaning does not work, inspect the wires running from the sensor bars to the main harness. If the wires are intact, the sensor/harness assembly needs to be replaced.
