How to Fix Check Vent Error

  1. Unplug the dryer.
  2. Disconnect the flexible vent hose from the back of the dryer and from the wall exhaust duct.
  3. Thoroughly clean all lint from the inside of the hose and the entire length of the ductwork leading outside.
  4. Check the exterior vent cap on the outside of your house to ensure the flap moves freely and is not blocked by lint or debris.
  5. Reconnect the vent hose securely, ensuring there are no sharp kinks.
