Error Code: EB Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Motor tachometer / hall sensor error (legacy)
How to Fix EB Error
- UNPLUG THE WASHER. This is a legacy code for a motor tachometer or Hall Sensor error.
- You must access the motor at the back of the machine. Remove the rear panel.
- Use a socket wrench to remove the large bolt in the center of the motor’s rotor. Pull the rotor off the stator.
- The Hall Sensor is a small plastic piece attached to the stator (the part with copper windings). Disconnect its wire and unclip or unscrew it.
- Install the new Hall Sensor, reassemble the rotor and bolt (tighten securely), and reattach the back panel.
