How to Fix Samsung Washer Error EB

⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.

Error Code: EB Difficulty: Moderate

Problem: Motor tachometer / hall sensor error (legacy)

How to Fix EB Error

  1. UNPLUG THE WASHER. This is a legacy code for a motor tachometer or Hall Sensor error.
  2. You must access the motor at the back of the machine. Remove the rear panel.
  3. Use a socket wrench to remove the large bolt in the center of the motor’s rotor. Pull the rotor off the stator.
  4. The Hall Sensor is a small plastic piece attached to the stator (the part with copper windings). Disconnect its wire and unclip or unscrew it.
  5. Install the new Hall Sensor, reassemble the rotor and bolt (tighten securely), and reattach the back panel.
