Problem: Door open during operation attempt or door switch not detecting closure

How to Fix DC Error

1. Close door firmly until distinct click heard – apply 15-20 lbs pressure at handle.
2. Inspect door latch hook for bent metal preventing full engagement with strike plate.
3. Check door strike alignment – loosen 2 screws securing strike plate and adjust position if misaligned (gap should be 1/16″ when closed).
4. Clean door gasket thoroughly with vinegar solution – buildup can prevent full closure.
5. Test door switch continuity with multimeter while door closed (should read closed circuit <1Ω).
6. If switch faulty: replace door lock assembly DC34-00028A.
7. Check door hinge screws for looseness causing misalignment.
