How to Fix 1 Ub Error

  1. Unplug the washer and disconnect the hot and cold water supply hoses.
  2. Remove the screws securing the top panel of the washer and lift it off. For some models, you may need to use a putty knife to release clips at the front.
  3. To prevent the washer lid from falling, tape it to the propped-open top panel.
  4. Locate the four suspension rods at each corner of the washer tub.
  5. Push the tub to the side to get better access to a rod. Lift the rod up to unseat it from the tub bracket, then lower it to remove it from the bottom frame slot.
  6. Before installing the new rod, you can apply a small amount of white lithium grease to the top bushing to ensure smooth movement.
  7. Insert the new suspension rod by first seating it in the bottom frame, then lifting it and sliding the top bushing into the tub bracket until it locks.
  8. Repeat the process for the remaining three rods. The rear-right rod may have a wire harness clip that needs to be transferred to the new rod.
  9. Reassemble the washer by lowering the top panel, securing it with screws, and reconnecting the water hoses.
