Error Code: Refrigerator Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Flash code 2: Refrigerator temperature sensor fault (non-display models); identical failure mode to 2E code
How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator from electrical power source.
- Remove fresh food compartment shelves and interior panels to access temperature sensor mounted on rear wall or evaporator cover.
- Disconnect wiring harness connector from sensor assembly.
- Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter at current refrigerator temperature. Expected value: approximately 10kΩat 37°F/3°C (±10%).
- If reading is infinite, near zero, or significantly deviates from specification: remove mounting hardware securing sensor.
- Carefully extract old sensor from mounting location. Clean mounting area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply thermal conductive paste to sensing tip of new sensor.
- Install replacement temperature sensor using OEM part DA32-10105R. Ensure proper seating in mounting well.
- Secure mounting clip or screw to 3 in-lbs torque. Route wiring harness away from evaporator coils and sharp edges.
- Reconnect harness firmly. Reassemble interior components. Restore power and verify refrigerator temperature stabilizes at set point within 4 hours.
