How to Fix Dryer Error

  • UNPLUG dryer from electrical power. Turn off water supply valve to steam inlet hose.
  • Remove front lower access panel to expose steam generator assembly.
  • Disconnect water inlet hose and drain residual water into container. Inspect for mineral buildup or blockages.
  • Descale steam generator using manufacturer-approved solution: pour into water reservoir, run maintenance cycle per manual instructions.
  • Disconnect steam generator wiring harness. Test heating element resistance (should be 30-60Ω). Infinite resistance indicates open element.
  • If generator is faulty or heavily scaled, replace assembly using OEM part DC97-18550A: disconnect water lines, remove mounting hardware, extract old unit, install new assembly.
  • Reconnect water lines with new hose clamps. Reconnect electrical harness securely.
  • Restore water supply and power. Run steam function test cycle while verifying steam production and absence of leaks at all connections.
