How to Fix Dryer Error

• UNPLUG dryer from electrical power. Pull unit away from wall for full rear access.
• Remove rear access panel and lint duct assembly to expose blower wheel and motor.
• Manually rotate blower wheel – should turn smoothly with no grinding, squealing, or resistance.
• Disconnect motor wiring harness. Label connections before removal.
• Test motor windings resistance between terminals per service manual specifications (typically 2-8Ω balanced readings).
• Inspect blower housing for lint buildup, foreign objects, or damaged wheel blades. Clean thoroughly.
• If motor tests faulty or bearings are seized, replace blower motor assembly using OEM part DC97-14480A: remove mounting bolts, extract old motor, transfer blower wheel to new motor (if applicable), install new assembly.
• Verify blower wheel spins freely with no contact to housing. Reconnect wiring harness securely.
• Reassemble all components. Restore power and run cycle while verifying strong, consistent airflow from exhaust vent and normal motor operation sounds.
