How to Fix Dryer Error

  • UNPLUG dryer from electrical power immediately.
  • Remove and clean lint filter thoroughly under running water. Dry completely.
  • Disconnect exhaust vent hose. Clear all lint blockages from hose, wall duct, and exterior vent cap.
  • Remove rear panel. Vacuum blower wheel, housing, heating chamber, and drum seals of lint/debris.
  • Test exhaust thermistor resistance per tE procedure. Replace using OEM part DC34-00040A if inaccurate.
  • Verify thermal fuse continuity on heater housing. Replace if open circuit.
  • Inspect drum seals for excessive wear restricting airflow. Replace if damaged.
  • Reassemble components. Restore power. Run test cycle with vent disconnected to verify strong airflow before reconnecting exhaust system.
