How to Fix PC Error

  1. DISCONNECT POWER AND WATER. Turn off the circuit breaker and shut off the water supply.
  2. REMOVE THE DISHWASHER. Disconnect all lines and pull the dishwasher out from under the counter.
  3. ACCESS THE DISTRIBUTOR MOTOR. Lay the dishwasher on its back to access the components on the bottom. The distributor motor (DD31-00016A), also called the zone wash motor, is connected to the sump assembly.
  4. REPLACE THE MOTOR. Disconnect the wire harness from the motor. It is often held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and twist the motor to release it from the sump. Install the new motor, ensuring the seal is properly seated.
  5. REASSEMBLE AND TEST. Reconnect the wiring, secure the dishwasher upright, reinstall it under the counter, and reconnect all lines. Restore power and run a cycle with a zone wash option selected to verify the repair.
