⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: Normal + Heavy blinking Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Turbidity sensor error (non-digital display)
How to Fix Normal + Heavy blinking Error
- DISCONNECT POWER. Turn off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher.
- REMOVE AND CLEAN FILTERS. First, try the simple fix. Remove and thoroughly clean the dishwasher’s filters, as heavy soil can trick the turbidity sensor.
- REPLACE THE SUMP ASSEMBLY. If cleaning the filters doesn’t work, the turbidity sensor has likely failed. On most Samsung models, this sensor is integrated into the sump assembly, which must be replaced as a whole unit. Pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back. Disconnect all hoses and wires from the sump. Unfasten the sump from the bottom of the tub and remove it.
- INSTALL NEW SUMP. Install the new sump assembly, making sure the gasket seals properly against the tub. Reconnect all hoses and wire harnesses.
- REASSEMBLE AND TEST. Reinstall the dishwasher, connect all lines, restore power, and run a test cycle.
