How to Fix Samsung Dishwasher Error Heavy flashing

⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.

Problem: Water leak detected (non-digital display models)

How to Fix Heavy flashing Error

  1. DISCONNECT POWER AND WATER. Shut off the circuit breaker and water supply immediately to prevent further damage.
  2. PULL OUT THE DISHWASHER. Disconnect all lines and slide the unit out from its installation space.
  3. LOCATE THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. Carefully tilt the dishwasher forward to access the base pan. The leak sensor is a small switch with a styrofoam float located in this pan. Mop up any water in the base pan.
  4. INSPECT FOR LEAKS. With the pan dry, look for the source of the water. Common culprits are loose hose clamps, a cracked drain pump, a bad door seal, or a faulty water inlet valve.
  5. REPLACE THE LEAK SENSOR. If no active leak is found, the sensor itself (a common part is DD94-01062A) may be faulty. It is typically held in place by a single screw or clip. Disconnect the wire and replace the sensor.
  6. REPAIR THE LEAK AND TEST. Once the source of the leak is repaired or the sensor is replaced, reassemble the dishwasher, reconnect power and water, and run a test cycle while monitoring for new leaks.
