How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher and remove lower access panel.
- Manually rotate wash impeller from underneath (accessible through pump housing). Should turn smoothly with no grinding.
- Disconnect motor wiring harness from main board. Label all connections.
- Test motor windings resistance between terminals per service manual (typically balanced 3-8Ω readings).
- Test hall sensor resistance within motor assembly (refer to wiring diagram; typically

- Inspect motor area for foreign objects jamming impeller. Remove obstructions carefully.
- If motor binds mechanically or electrical tests fail: replace entire wash motor assembly using OEM part DD31-00008A.
- Remove mounting bolts, extract old motor, clean mounting surface thoroughly.
- Install new motor assembly. Torque mounting bolts to 18 in-lbs in crisscross pattern.
- Reconnect wiring harness. Restore power. Run motor diagnostic test to verify smooth operation and correct rotation direction.
