How to Fix Samsung Dishwasher Error bE2

⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.

Error Code: bE2 Difficulty: Moderate

Problem: Button stuck on control panel

How to Fix bE2 Error

  1. POWER CYCLE THE DISHWASHER. Turn off the circuit breaker for one minute, then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset the control panel and clear the error.
  2. INSPECT THE CONTROL PANEL. Look for any buttons that are physically stuck, dirty, or have moisture around them. Clean the panel with a soft, dry cloth.
  3. REPLACE THE CONTROL PANEL. If the error persists, the electronic touch sensor for a button has failed. You must replace the Control Panel (DD97-00489A). Disconnect power, remove the outer door panel by unscrewing it from the inner door panel, and carefully disconnect the wire harnesses from the old control panel. Install the new panel and reassemble the door.
  4. RECONNECT AND TEST. Restore power and test the button functions.
