Problem: Communication error between main control board and display interface board
How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher for 10 minutes to reset electronics.
- Remove top panel and control console assembly to access ribbon cable connections.
- Disconnect ribbon cable from both display board and main control board.
- Clean all connector pins with electrical contact cleaner and lint-free swab. Allow 5 minutes drying time.
- Inspect ribbon cable for creases, tears, or damaged traces. Replace cable if visible damage exists.
- Reconnect ribbon cable firmly at both ends until seated completely.
- If error persists: replace main control board using OEM part DD92-00001A.
- Transfer all connectors to new board one-by-one. Secure mounting screws to 4 in-lbs torque.
- Restore power. Enter diagnostic mode (press Temp+Delay Start+Power) to verify communication with display and clear error history.
- Run full diagnostic test sequence to confirm all subsystems operate correctly.
