Error Code: 7C Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Waterwall reflector error — reflector unable to move
How to Fix 7C Error
- DISCONNECT POWER AND WATER. Turn off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher and shut off the water supply valve, usually located under the sink.
- REMOVE THE DISHWASHER. You will need to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. This typically involves removing mounting screws that secure it to the countertop and disconnecting the drain hose, water supply line, and electrical wiring.
- ACCESS THE WATERWALL ASSEMBLY. Lay the dishwasher on its back on a protective blanket. The Waterwall reflector motor assembly (DD97-00216A) is located on the bottom of the tub.
- REMOVE THE OLD ASSEMBLY. Disconnect the wire harness from the motor. Remove the screws or clips holding the assembly in place and detach it from the dishwasher tub.
- INSTALL THE NEW ASSEMBLY. Position the new Waterwall motor assembly, secure it with its mounting hardware, and reconnect the wire harness.
- REASSEMBLE AND TEST. Carefully slide the dishwasher back into place, reconnect all lines (water, drain, electric), and secure it to the countertop. Turn the power and water back on and run a test cycle to ensure the Waterwall reflector moves correctly.
