Problem: Drain pump failure; seized impeller, motor fault, or electrical open circuit
How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher and turn off water supply.
- Remove lower access panel to expose drain pump assembly.
- Place towels under pump area. Open pump access cover to drain residual water.
- Remove coarse filter to access pump impeller. Rotate impeller manually with finger—it must spin freely 360°.
- If impeller is stuck, cracked, or pump housing is damaged: disconnect pump wiring harness.
- Loosen hose clamps on inlet/outlet hoses using pliers. Remove mounting screws securing pump.
- Extract old drain pump assembly. Clean mounting surface thoroughly.
- Install new drain pump using OEM part DD31-00010A. Align mounting tabs, secure screws.
- Reconnect hoses with clamps tightened firmly. Reconnect wiring harness.
- Reinstall filter and access cover. Restore power. Run Drain cycle to verify complete water removal within 90 seconds.
