How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher and remove lower access panel.
- Manually rotate wash impeller from pump housing access. Should turn smoothly with no grinding.
- Disconnect motor wiring harness from main board. Label connections.
- Test motor windings resistance between terminals (U-V, V-W, W-U). Readings must be balanced (3-8Ω).
- Test hall sensor resistance within motor assembly per wiring diagram (typically
- 5-
- 5kΩ).
- Inspect impeller area for foreign objects jamming rotation. Remove obstructions carefully.
- If motor binds mechanically or electrical tests fail: remove mounting bolts securing motor.
- Extract old wash motor assembly. Clean mounting surface thoroughly.
- Install new motor assembly using OEM part DD31-00008A. Torque mounting bolts to 18 in-lbs.
- Reconnect wiring harness. Restore power. Run motor diagnostic test to verify smooth operation and correct rotation direction.
