How to Fix E60 Error

  1. UNPLUG THE DRYER. This code means the heating circuit is completely open, resulting in no heat.
  2. Remove the rear panel to access the heater assembly. The most likely culprit is a blown one-time thermal fuse located on the heater can.
  3. Use a multimeter to test the thermal fuse and the high-limit thermostat for continuity. If either is open, it must be replaced. Also test the heating element coil itself for continuity; if it’s open, the entire heater assembly needs replacement.
  4. Always find the root cause of a blown fuse, which is almost always a clogged vent. Clean the vent thoroughly.
