Error Code: SUDS Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Too many suds detected.
How to Fix SUDS Error (Step-by-Step)
- Pause the current wash cycle if the machine has not already stopped automatically.
- Do not add any more water or detergent. Allow the washer to sit for 30-60 minutes to allow the suds to break down on their own.
- After the waiting period, select a ‘Rinse & Spin’ or ‘Drain & Spin’ cycle to clear out the excess foam.
- Once the cycle is complete and the suds are gone, you can restart your laundry.
- To prevent this in the future, ensure you are using a High-Efficiency (HE) detergent, which is specifically designed for low-water washing machines.
- Measure your detergent carefully according to the manufacturer’s instructions for your load size and water hardness. Overdosing is the primary cause of excess suds.
- Consider using less detergent for smaller or lightly soiled loads.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
