Problem: Control lock activated.
How to Fix LOC Error (Step-by-Step)
- Locate the ‘Control Lock’ button on your washer’s control panel. It may be a standalone button or a secondary function of another button.
- Press and hold the ‘Control Lock’ button for 3 to 5 seconds.
- Observe the display panel; the lock symbol or ‘LOC’ message should disappear, indicating the controls are unlocked.
- If your model does not have a dedicated ‘Control Lock’ button, it is often a combination of two buttons that need to be pressed simultaneously.
- Look for two buttons with a small lock icon between or below them.
- Press and hold these two buttons at the same time for 3 to 5 seconds to deactivate the lock.
- Test the controls by attempting to select a cycle or change a setting.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
