How to Fix EB1 Error (Step-by-Step)

1. Disconnect the washer from both the power outlet and the water supply. Safety is the top priority, so ensure the appliance is completely powered down and there’s no risk of water leakage.
2. Remove the top panel of the washer. This is typically secured by a few screws at the back of the machine. Once the screws are removed, the panel should slide back and lift off, giving you access to the internal components.
3. Locate the main control board. It is usually housed in a plastic casing near the front of the washer, behind the control panel. You will see numerous wires connected to it.
4. Carefully disconnect all the wire harnesses from the old control board. It’s a good idea to take a photo with your phone before you start, so you have a clear reference for reconnecting them to the new board. The connectors are designed to fit in only one specific way, but a photo helps avoid confusion.
5. Remove the screws that hold the control board housing in place and take out the old board. Install the new main control board, securing it with the same screws.
