How to Fix E98 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the power cord of the washing machine from the wall socket.
- Remove the screws at the back of the washer that hold the top panel in place, then slide the panel off.
- Locate the main control board. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is an integrated part of this board (part A11286423).
- Take a clear photo of all the wire connections on the board to use as a guide for reassembly.
- Carefully unclip and disconnect all the wire harnesses from the control board.
- Unscrew the control board from its mounting points and gently remove it from the washer.
- Install the new main control board, secure it with the screws, and reconnect all the wire harnesses exactly as they were before.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
