How to Fix E87 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Ensure the washing machine is completely disconnected from the power supply.
- Remove the top cover of the washer by taking out the screws at the rear of the machine.
- Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer completely to access screws for the control panel.
- Unscrew the control panel and carefully tilt it down to access the user interface board.
- Photograph the wire layout, then disconnect all harnesses from the user interface microcontroller (Part 5304515232).
- Replace the old board with the new one and also replace the main control board (Part 134994910) as they are often a matched set.
- Reconnect all wires, secure the control panel, replace the top panel, and test the machine.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
