How to Fix E83 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the washer from the power outlet to ensure safety.
- Remove the top panel of the washer by unscrewing the screws at the back and sliding it off.
- Carefully pull out the detergent dispenser drawer and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the screws securing the main control panel, which are often located where the dispenser drawer was.
- Gently tilt the control panel forward and take a photo of the wire connections to the user interface board for reference.
- Disconnect the wiring harnesses, replace the old user interface board (Part 5304505019) and the selector knob (Part 134844410).
- Reconnect the wires, reassemble the control panel and top of the washer, and then restore power to test.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
