How to Fix E80 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Turn off and unplug the washing machine and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
  2. Locate the pump filter access panel, usually on the bottom front of the washer.
  3. Place a shallow tray and a towel underneath the panel to catch any residual water.
  4. Open the access panel and slowly unscrew the filter cap, allowing the water to drain out.
  5. Once drained, completely remove the filter and clean it of any debris like lint, coins, or hair.
  6. Check the pump impeller inside the housing to ensure it can spin freely.
  7. Screw the filter back in securely, close the access panel, and plug the washer back in.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
