Error Code: E45 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Malfunction in the door lock control circuit on the electronic controller.
How to Fix E45 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washing machine to prevent any electrical accidents and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- This error points to a fault in the door lock circuit, which typically requires replacing the door lock assembly itself. Open the door to begin.
- Find the spring clamp around the outside of the rubber door seal. Use pliers to expand and remove this clamp.
- Push the rubber seal inwards and away from the machine’s frame to reveal the door lock assembly.
- Unscrew the assembly from the frame and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the old lock and connect it to the new replacement lock.
- Secure the new lock assembly with its screws, then work the rubber seal back into place and attach its clamp.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
