Problem: Malfunction of the lock triac.
How to Fix E43 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Cut power to the washer by unplugging the power cord from the wall.
- The lock triac is part of the door lock assembly. You will need to replace the entire assembly. Start by opening the washer door.
- Locate and remove the spring-loaded clamp that holds the rubber door bellow (seal) onto the front panel.
- Gently pull the bellow away from the opening to get access to the door lock assembly.
- Unscrew the two screws holding the door lock in place.
- Reach in and disconnect the wiring plug from the back of the lock assembly.
- Plug the wiring into the new assembly, screw it into place, and carefully refit the door bellow and its clamp.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
