How to Fix CC Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the washer from power by unplugging it from the wall outlet to ensure safety.
- Remove the rear access panel of the washer by unscrewing the retaining screws.
- Locate the drive motor at the base of the drum and identify the tacho sensor, a small component mounted on the motor with a wire harness connected to it.
- Carefully disconnect the wire harness from the tacho sensor and the main control board. Inspect the wiring for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections. If the wiring is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
- If the wiring appears to be in good condition, the motor itself may be faulty. Use a multimeter to test the motor for continuity according to the manufacturer’s specifications. A lack of continuity indicates a failed motor that needs replacement.
- If the motor tests fine, the issue likely lies with the Main Control Board. Replace the Main Control Board, ensuring all wire harnesses are securely reconnected to the new board.
- Reassemble the washer by reattaching the rear panel, and then plug the washer back in and run a test cycle to ensure the error is cleared.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
