How to Fix C5 Error (Step-by-Step)
- UNPLUG THE WASHER. Disconnect the appliance from the wall outlet to prevent electrical shock. Turn off both hot and cold water supply valves.
- ACCESS THE REAR PANEL. Pull the washer away from the wall to give yourself room to work. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the rear access panel in place and set the panel aside.
- LOCATE THE MOTOR CONTROL BOARD. The motor control board is typically a small circuit board with multiple wire connections, located near the main drive motor at the bottom of the washer.
