Error Code: B1 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Frequency of power out of limits.
How to Fix B1 Error (Step-by-Step)
- UNPLUG THE WASHER. Safety first! Disconnect the washing machine from the wall outlet to prevent any electrical shock.
- ACCESS THE CONTROL BOARD. The main control board is usually located inside the top panel. You will need to remove a few screws from the back of the top panel and slide it off.
- DISCONNECT THE WIRES. Take a photo of the wire connections on the old control board before you disconnect anything. This will be your map for reconnecting them to the new board. Carefully unplug all the wire harnesses from the board.
- REMOVE THE OLD BOARD. The control board is typically held in place by plastic mounting tabs or a few screws. Gently release the tabs or unscrew the screws to free the board and lift it out.
- INSTALL THE NEW BOARD. Place the new control board into the same position as the old one, making sure it snaps securely into the mounting tabs or is fastened with the screws.
- RECONNECT THE WIRES. Using the photo you took earlier as a guide, carefully plug all the wire harnesses back into their correct ports on the new control board.
- REASSEMBLE AND TEST. Slide the top panel back into place and secure it with the screws. Plug the washer back in and run a test cycle to ensure everything is working correctly.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
