How to Fix LC Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Locate the main control board, typically found behind a panel on the back of the unit.
- Carefully disconnect all the wire harnesses connected to the control board.
- Remove the screws that are holding the control board in place and gently take it out.
- Install the new control board, ensuring it is securely fastened with the screws.
- Reconnect all the wire harnesses to the appropriate terminals on the new board.
- Replace the back panel and plug the refrigerator back in to see if the ‘LC’ code is gone.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
