How to Fix HF Error (Step-by-Step)
- Ensure the dryer is completely disconnected from the power supply by unplugging the power cord.
- Remove the top panel of the dryer to gain access to the internal electronics.
- Identify the main control board, usually found near the top front of the unit.
- Photograph the existing wire connections to the board to ensure correct reassembly.
- Systematically unplug each wire connector from the old board. Be gentle and press any release tabs on the connectors.
- Unscrew the mounting screws that hold the control board in its housing and carefully remove it.
- Place the new main control board into the housing, secure it with the screws, and reconnect all the wires exactly as they were on the old board.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
