How to Fix EF5 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. CANCEL THE CURRENT CYCLE. Press the ‘Cancel’ or ‘Power’ button to stop the dryer’s operation.
  2. UNPLUG THE DRYER. Disconnect the dryer’s power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. WAIT FIVE MINUTES. Leave the dryer unplugged for at least five minutes. This allows the internal electronics to fully reset.
  4. CHECK FOR OVERLOADING. While waiting, check the dryer drum. An overloaded dryer can restrict airflow and cause temperature errors. Remove some items if it is too full.
  5. CLEAN THE LINT FILTER. Ensure the lint filter is completely clean of any lint or debris, as a clogged filter is a primary cause of overheating.
  6. PLUG THE DRYER BACK IN. Reconnect the power cord to the outlet.
  7. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.

Still Not Working?
