- Remove the dryer’s top panel by unscrewing the retaining screws at the rear of the machine.
- Identify the console control board, which is the circuit board directly behind the control panel buttons and display.
- Photograph the connections between the console board and the main control board to ensure correct reassembly.
- Disconnect the wire harnesses and ribbon cables from the console board. Remove the screws or unclip the tabs holding it to the control panel and remove it.
- Fit the new console control board into place and secure it. Reattach all wiring, double-checking the connections against your photo.
- Put the top panel back on the dryer and secure it. Restore power and test the dryer’s control functions.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
