Error Code: EA4 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Incorrect wiring on the terminal block.
How to Fix EA4 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dryer from the power source by unplugging it from the wall outlet.
- Locate the terminal block on the back of the dryer where the power cord is connected.
- Carefully remove the terminal block cover to expose the wiring connections.
- Visually inspect the wires to ensure they are securely fastened to the correct terminals. There should be three wires: two hot wires and a neutral or ground wire. Refer to the dryer’s wiring diagram, usually found on the back panel, for the correct placement.
- If any wires are loose or connected to the wrong terminal, loosen the screw, re-insert the wire into the correct position, and tighten the screw securely.
- Replace the terminal block cover and plug the dryer back into the power outlet.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
