⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: E61 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Heater relay failure.
How to Fix E61 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Ensure the dryer is completely disconnected from the power supply by unplugging it.
- Remove the top panel of the dryer by unscrewing it from the back.
- Locate the main electronic control board. The heater relay is a component soldered directly onto this board.
- As replacing just the relay is a job for an electronics expert, the entire control board must be replaced.
- Take a photo of all the wire connections on the board. Then, carefully disconnect each wiring harness.
- Remove the screws or release the clips holding the old board in place and swap it with the new one.
- Reconnect all wires according to your photo, reattach the top panel, and test the dryer’s heating function.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
