How to Fix E5C Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Unplug the dryer from the power outlet to ensure your safety.
  2. Using a multimeter, carefully check the voltage of the wall outlet to confirm it is supplying the correct voltage (typically 240V for an electric dryer).
  3. If the outlet voltage is excessively high, contact a qualified electrician to resolve the household wiring issue. Do not proceed with the repair.
  4. If the outlet voltage is correct, you will need to access and replace the inverter board. Remove the top panel of the dryer to access the internal components.
  5. Locate the inverter board. Take a picture of the wire connections for reference before disconnecting them.
  6. Carefully disconnect the wiring and remove the screws securing the old inverter board. Install the new board.
  7. Reconnect all wiring harnesses, reassemble the dryer, and plug it in to test its operation.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
