Error Code: E24 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Fault in the compressor cooling fan sensor circuit.
How to Fix E24 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the rear access panel to gain access to the internal components.
- Locate the compressor cooling fan (Part 134587700) and the associated thermistor/sensor (Part 134711200).
- Visually inspect the fan for any obstructions, debris, or damage that might prevent it from spinning.
- Check the wiring to both the fan motor and the sensor for any loose connections, breaks, or burn marks.
- If the wiring is intact, you can test the fan motor and the thermistor with a multimeter for proper resistance. If either fails the test, it must be replaced.
- Install the new part(s), reattach the rear panel, and plug the dryer in to test its operation.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
