- If the hose is clear, the switch itself may be faulty. Disconnect the wires from the switch.
- Use a multimeter to test for continuity across the switch terminals. A closed switch will show continuity when it should be open.
- If the switch is determined to be faulty, replace it with a new one and securely reattach the hose and wires.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
