How to Fix E13 Error (Step-by-Step)

Open the dryer door and check the lint filter. Clean it thoroughly by removing all lint.
Check the size of the load in the dryer. If it is too large and heavy, remove some items to allow for better airflow.
Go to the back of the dryer and inspect the exhaust vent hose. Make sure it is not crushed, kinked, or clogged with lint.
Go outside to where the dryer vents. Ensure the exterior vent flap can open and close freely and is not blocked by debris.
Try running a timed dry cycle with a smaller load to confirm the issue is resolved.
Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
