Error Code: C2 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Drainage problem.
How to Fix C2 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dryer from its power source and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- For condensing dryers, locate the drain pump, which is usually at the bottom front of the appliance. You may need to remove a lower access panel.
- Place a shallow pan and towels under the pump to catch any residual water.
- Disconnect the hoses attached to the pump. Be prepared for water to spill out.
- Inspect the pump inlet and outlet ports, as well as the hoses, for any lint or debris that could cause a blockage. Clear any obstructions found.
- If no blockage is found, the pump may have failed. Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the mounting screws, and replace it with the new pump.
- Reconnect the hoses and electrical connector, secure the access panel, and test the dryer.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
