Error Code: IF1 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: High water level / Diverter valve fault.
How to Fix IF1 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Shut off the power to your dishwasher from your home’s circuit breaker.
- You will need to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter to access the diverter valve and circulation pump.
- After pulling the unit out, carefully tilt it on its back to get to the components underneath. Place a towel down to protect your floor.
- Locate the diverter valve (part A00056504) and the circulation pump (part 154844001). Inspect them for any visible signs of damage or blockage.
- To replace the diverter valve, disconnect the attached hoses and electrical connector, then remove the screws holding it in place. Install the new valve and reconnect everything.
- For the circulation pump, disconnect its hoses and wiring, then unbolt it from the sump. Install the new pump, ensuring all connections are tight.
- Carefully set the dishwasher upright, slide it back into place, and restore power to test its function.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
