How to Fix ER-13 Error (Step-by-Step)

Turn off the power to the dishwasher at your home’s main circuit breaker panel.
Open the dishwasher door and remove all the screws holding the inner door panel to the outer panel.
Carefully separate the panels to reveal the electronic control board housed inside the door.
Before disconnecting anything, take a photo of the wiring for reference.
Disconnect the various wire harnesses attached to the control board.
Remove the screws that mount the control board to the door panel and swap it with the new board.
Reconnect the wires, reassemble the door panels, restore power, and run a test cycle.
Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
