How to Fix CLOSE Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Pull the dishwasher door open to its fully extended position.
  2. Scan the interior to ensure no dishes, silverware, or parts of the dish racks are sticking out and preventing the door from sealing.
  3. Slide both the top and bottom racks fully into the dishwasher.
  4. Check the door’s gasket to make sure it is clean and not twisted or out of place.
  5. Close the door firmly. You should hear the latch mechanism click into place, securing the door.
  6. The ‘CLOSE’ indicator should turn off, and you can now select and begin a wash cycle.
  7. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
