How to Fix B1 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Disconnect the dishwasher from power and water supplies and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
  2. Remove the lower access panel and toe kick to access the drain pump.
  3. Place a towel under the drain pump to catch any residual water.
  4. Disconnect the drain hose and the wire harness from the pump.
  5. Remove the mounting screws holding the drain pump in place and remove the old pump.
  6. Install the new drain pump, reconnecting the hose and wire harness.
  7. Reinstall the access panels, reconnect power and water, and run a drain cycle to test the new pump.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
