How to Fix F22 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Ensure the washing machine is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Access the back of the washer and locate the NTC sensor, which is usually inserted into the heating element at the base of the drum.
  3. Disconnect the wiring connector from the sensor and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
  4. Carefully pull the old NTC sensor out of its housing. It may be held in by a clip or a tight-fitting rubber grommet.
  5. Insert the new NTC sensor firmly into the same position.
  6. Reconnect the wiring harness to the new sensor and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
  7. Reassemble any panels that were removed, plug the washer back in, and run a wash cycle to check if the error is cleared.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
